I've been teaching my daughter sign language since she was a little one and she knows like the little basic things And I just think it's so important because like at a really young age you don't really they can't talk I so you don't know what they're saying or anything and I'm kind of glad I did because now she knows quite a bit and she's catching on to more and Yeah, it makes me pretty happy and is this something that you guys do as well. Do you think it's important to learn sign language as a young kid? I just liked that my daughter has like another form of communication other than just like talking and and you know, she's able to express herself a little bit more.
So I definitely agree that it's a really awesome I do think that it's really important and really helpful until they learn how to talk but unfortunately my son never really picked up on it and I did it from you know pretty much right away I would do like more all done drink is it's like the basics you know and he just never really like he's almost one now and he's never really done it back or acted like he understood
So I mean I still try to do it so maybe he will start picking up on it but I don't know I don't know if I just didn't do it enough or I didn't I don't know but he never picked up on it yet but I'm gonna keep trying because I do think that it's really helpful just in general and yeah
Yeah it does make it a lot easier you can pick up on more things you know that maybe they can't say and we did use it with my son and he did like it and more and like drink
It's not only important for young children it's important for everybody definitely recommend people to do a sign language course or just learn the basics
Honestly I think it's a great benefit It's a wonderful language like I learned too because I'm not sure they teach it to my son in school so I teach him as well so yeah I like it
It's definitely a very useful idea no matter the child but how important it is really depends on the kid some kids won't necessarily be interested in it or pick it up or use it before they start talking some kids will and some kids may even start talking later and end up using the sign language more than you initially expected my son is actually one of those cases he is 3 1/2 now and he doesn't speak at all and he uses sign language effectively to communicate
Yeah it definitely help my son and I communicate a little bit more definitely the basic stuff but I would definitely still try to do it I took a class in college so I think it's very useful
Oh yeah, I taught my kiddo sign language, which I'm very glad I did. For a long time he was nonverbal. He would say like a couple things or he would mimic what I said, but he wouldn't you know, freely say words. So I was really glad that I was able to teach him sign language so he could still tell me if you wanted more or milk or little things like that.
Yes I think sign language is so important for young links I didn't really know sign language until obviously I started watching with Rachel and now I learn a lot more and I've been learning and teaching myself off of like YouTube videos and stuff but I definitely think sign language is going to be a really important part of our children's school whatever especially here in Canada they're becoming to make it a mandatory class went to high school for sign language so I definitely think it's really important
I definitely think it's super important my son knows so many different types of sign language and it has helped us so much would like understanding what he needs like if he's thirsty or hungry or hast to go potty even like with his manners like he science plays all the time I think a sign language is definitely a very important thing to teach Littles
I think it is important to teach your kids sign language when they're younger because, as you stated, it can be beneficial. They have a way to communicate their wants and their needs to you even though they can't verbally. They can sign to you. My profession, I'm a sign language interpreter. I've taught my kids sign language. They're not fluent in it yet, but they do know quite a lot of sign language. And I just think overall it's just a good language to know and it's beneficial. I think for everyone.
