Honestly, what it even is personal time as a parent. So he has a mother. I feel like I barely have any personal time and everything is just like And like my daughter just always depends on me and always needs me So I feel like personal time as a mom is very difficult and setting rules is important And setting those boundaries is also important.
Yes it can definitely be difficult and challenging I feel like I know your daughter stuff younger than my son and it's a little bit easier when they're older and can play by themselves a little bit and little bit more self-sufficient but you have boundaries and like partner communication and like literally scheduling that time so whatever that looks like for you we have a family calendar and we each got our own alone time
I totally agree it's super hard when they're young to have like that me time I feel like I want my daughter does go but older and then she'll understand like mommy needs her time that's what I'll actually have might be time
I mean personal time would be like me being able to take a shower be able to brush my teeth properly I want to be able to get dressed and now what someone all up in my space, you know I feel messed up sometimes I feel like I just want to close the door on my son not because I don't want him around of course but if I'm dressing or showering he wants to clean the toilet and it just makes me more anxious
Yeah for me personal time is just like it after everybody is early you know kind of went to bed and I've cleaned up and I get to gonna take a shower by myself and you know maybe sit and watch my 30 minute show before like going to bed you know you good night just going on a car ride You know with my kids down and watch them for me to go to the store or something
Yeah that is very true you know especially when you're dealing with Younghans it's really all about them you know because they take a nap not long you don't have a lot of time to Chyna you know rejuvenate your energy or do something for yourself so it's hard especially being a single mom if you don't have a team somebody who will help you and watch your child it's hard so you just have to find things to do for yourself while still
I totally agree if you don't have that support then you don't really get much free time and it kind of sucks honestly like specially with us we don't really have family that helps us out and if we go to my mother-in-law's house maybe once a week my mom comes over once a week but it's later than that during the whole week or thing like the rest of the week we just have each other and it gets hard you know what I mean like for us to each other only Time
I don't know what personal time is. I haven't had personal time in eight years. My daughter is autistic, so I don't leave her that often. When I do it, usually only for work or maybe to quickly run to the grocery store.
Oh girl I totally understand you are I don't really get personal time at all and if I do is literally just like an hour but he only takes one nap time is usually about an hour or two but sometimes it takes a nap with him and sometimes I am I don't so I really very long day how tall I am but I've been noticing my son has been getting more clingy more needy and you know it's totally understandable
Yeah it's definitely a struggle and challenging I even have like a hard time like I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works a lot of hours so I better but I work I work from home as well I have a few like part-time gigs and I can get frustrating to even feel like I don't have time to get my work done like night fun stuff not me time just getting my work done so it's a struggle but it's all about trying to find a balance or just surviving day by day
The only thing I did that helped a little but I still felt like I didn't have any personal time is I made sure that they always had a strict bedtime at 8:30 I didn't grow up with a bedtime but I just made sure they went to bed at 8:30 because that gave me a few hours in the evening mostly just a freaking catch up on cleaning and stuff but at least I had some kind of time to myself
I'm honestly super Duper thankful that my partner is as great as he is because he comes home takes both kids and I can just cook dinner and peace and then afterwards I can have a bath for an hour and just relax and do my own thing so I'm very very thankful my God
