I apologize in advance for the gif. I didn't know there was this Korean woman named Red Velvet. Anyway, Cheeto Dust was pretty popular, so we're gonna try Love It or List It one more time. This time we're dealing with Red Velvet. Now, Red Velvet is very controversial. It does have Red Number 40 in it from the Food Dye, but people say it changes the dynamic of the chocolate flavor. So are you loving it? Are you listing it? For me, I think it depends on a lot of factors here, And that means I think I probably have to list it. If it's a good wet cake, if it's moist, if it's got the right wets in there, you know, farm fresh eggs, you know, organic whole organic milk, like maybe maybe you got a shot. But like on its own, I'm not I'm never going out of my way to buy red velvet cake. I'm passing it on the dessert menu at a restaurant, right? Like it's not blowing me away in any circumstance, but it has had a resurgence in the past 10 years. So what do you guys think?
It's listed all the way for me I think it's a fake L but anyway give me like way more I want like my chocolate cake to be so dark and rich that it's almost coffee ask or molasses ask yeah that Red Velvet is it's it's good looking and I think that's probably what attractive people are but now it's a list it for me OK
100% agree has and I love the chocolate like you can get as dark as you want with the chocolate as rich as you want with the Chocolate there's no there's no spectrum where you can go too much with the chocolate But like red velvet is definitely a poser in that category, right? Like it's just trying to act rich, but it's like not but then people say the dye makes the chocolate taste better But like we all know that's that's not true, you know
Pixie, this is one of the instances and what we are not aligned. And look, I get that people like it. I'm not saying that you can't like it. But to have a specific icing request tells me like, how good is it? Because like good cake should go with any kind of icing, right? that's where my head's at.
I just feel like red velvet shouldn't be the staple products, Suzanne. Like red licorice, I'm all for. Like put as much red dye number 40 as you can in there. But like the cake, I don't know. And it's supposed to be chocolate. So it's like the red dye isn't even like doing anything for you like aesthetically, other than making it red.
