Strip malls, love it or listed, this is a San Fernando Valley born exclusive. So like, you know, Maldredine, I think we all know that, but I think, you know, the rise or, you know, the potential savior of like the American economy when it comes to like going to places is the strip mall, right? Like, where else can you go to a phone store, an ice cream shop, a vacuum cleaner shop, all in the same place, right? It's got to be the strip mall. There's no other central location for a random occurrence of businesses. It's only the strip mall and you only got eight parking spots for it to be a real strip mall. So it's going to be really confusing. There's a sign that says two hour parking but you don't really know who enforces it so it's really confusing. And no matter where you go in the country, they all kind of look the same. So yeah, do you like them? You love them? You hate them? Should we list them?
I personally like strip malls because sometimes strip malls introduce you to like other stores you've never heard of and rather than be like oh boots go to the food court read some garbage a strip mall might have like a real restaurant or café or something
I agree Stephanie they they do like you never know what you're gonna get right It's just like a random amalgamation of stores and sometimes that can be a good thing because it's like a little surprise when you're shopping So I definitely feel that I feel like I've seen a lot of new restaurants for the first time in strip mall So I see where you're coming from.
OK so we have strip malls everywhere in Florida but we also have regular malls everywhere in Florida and we also have outdoor malls everywhere and outlet malls everywhere which are also outdoors and I would have to say my favorite ones are the outdoor malls the strip malls I like if there is a TJ Maxx and HomeGoods There are there are many stipulations on
And I would say that like the equivalent to this in the city is like when you go to like New York City or Chicago or I don't know if they have that I think they do have this in downtown LA too, but only like in downtown LA the Shopping centers like with the TJ max and everything but they're like in a huge apartment buildings on the first floor or something or in the city itself. Orlando has them too.
Like you get me near one of those and I feel safe it's like a safe space I don't know why like when I was in New York City there was one with like a target inside of it and then there was like some other stores in there too I think like a bed Bath and beyond and I remember one of those types of things and I remember feeling so safe in there I felt so in my place and I everything was there in the center and I felt like I didn't have to go anywhere it was right there I felt
But in suburbia speaking, the strip stores can get to me. You know, if it's just like, you know, not that great of stuff. I don't know. I like the mall because I like to pail around inside the mall. Like I miss the indoor malls because I liked going inside and getting a pretzel and sitting down and not being hot and sweaty and thinking I'm dying all the time. Yeah. I miss the old walls.
I don't know what should we do. I was about to ask you, but what should we do? Like, I was about to further question right back at you, because I don't know what to do.
