I'm curious to know, have you guys ever showered at the gym? For me, I've used the sauna but I've never with intention showered at the gym after a workout. Usually after I finish my workouts I go straight home to shower. I really like, I don't, I've never really like gone and been like I'll just showered the gym. That's never crossed my mind. See you guys at the gym.
He used to take a shower in the gym. And the reason why is because maybe I have a phobia of how like some of the public bathrooms look. I can't trust a shower. I really can't. And if I don't like using a public bathroom, I would not use a public shower.
Yes, and you don't have to open and explain yourself like I completely understand. I completely understand It's meant to be of convenience for us. Like it's supposed to be something that we're able to be able to use but it's like it Do I really want to take the risk of getting skieved out like it is one of my like beyond an egg I it really will traumatize as me if I have a bad experience at a public shower.
There was a time where I tried using the gym showers arm and honestly it depends on how leg height in the gym is if it's a 24 hour fitness no planet fitness know if it's a really nice LA fitness yes but I usually don't
You listed them off perfectly. Like I've had all memberships. I had export. I have private fitness. I had LA fitness and I had 24 hour and you've LA fitness was supposed to be essentially the equinox of our time growing up. And when I realized that I went in and I just saw them spray disinspected and nobody was scrubbing anything because I was there late for a dance class. I was...
That's so interesting that that you looked at LA fitness as basically like the equinox because before the new equinox and lifetime fitness existed I literally thought LA fitness was like you know like a higher end gym and if you go to one in like an affluent neighborhood that's new they definitely better Yeah and I just don't trust public space for cleaning because people are just nasty
Yeah, it kind of depends on the gym and also the kind of workout. So if I've had a really intense workout and I feel sweaty then yeah, but most of the time I prefer to come home and have a nicer shower with all the things that I like to use.
So usually when I work out twice a day in the morning, my workouts are always low intensity, like all low intensive. If it's not a low intensive workout at the gym, then I do pilates like beginner style. At night is always when I do my high intensive and that's when I sweat more and I'm more gross. But by then I just go straight home since it's seven minutes away from my house. But yeah, I guess it depends on the gym.
I'm so happy that you agreed with me because I feel like a lot of people would say that they would just rather go home. I mean, rather just take the shower at the gym. But like, I'm like, let's be realistic. Like, is that something you're really actively doing every single time? Let's say you do it like once in a while. Overall, you're still just going to go back home and shower. Like, I feel like I'm going to take a double shower if I do it. I'd shower at the gym and then just shower at home to wash off the gym. shower.
hell to the know I don't understand why people do that like you have a shower at home which is way more comfortable way more cleaner gonna than many people went into that shower in the gym that's a little sticky stinky maybe the facilities I don't know man, I was just about to wait.
Well, we don't know everyone's situations. Maybe, maybe for some people, the gym shower is much, much, much more cleaner than whatever they've got going on at home. The only reason why I truly like just taking a shower at home is because I kind of have like a little system, a little routine, and I can't take my routine to the gym. I've tried it, I've thought about it, and it's just not something that would work out for me. I'd rather just do everything at home.
If I am on the go yes I do use the gym showers but I always take sandals I don't touch the ground and I take my own towel and shampoo and whatever I need my body wash basically everything if I do but that's super rare
Yeah, the shoes is a must. You know what I mean? Like, that has to be step one for any time you're changing at the gym is to make sure you have something separating your feet from the feet, I mean from the feet, from the floor of that establishment. Absolutely. But you know, I get it. It's convenient. Like, literally that's why it's there. I just can't bring myself to use it.
Yeah, no, I've never used a shower at the gym. Like, no matter how clean it looks, I just can't get myself to do it. I feel like it has everyone else's germs in it. I... it gives me the egg.
Sis, you get me, like it gives me beyond the egg. Like I would rather, I would, I would rather shed a layer of my own skin before actively saying to someone, I'll just go shower at the gym. You know what I mean? Like I have to be in a level of distress, which is the only time I actually have ever really used the gym shower is like, and it was because I had no choice. Yeah.
I'm definitely not a gym shower kind of person. I can't remember the last time I used a gym shower. I think that's just like too public for me and just like not as sanitary as I like it to be so. No.
