In my opinion, colonialism is a bitch. It's like having an A-B conversation with somebody and then C really comes up and out of nowhere, tries to butt their way in and then you're like, hey C, I'll get back to you in a moment and it's like, C's like, no, you better listen to me and then it just decks you out in the face and punches you and then there's a fight and it's like, bro, what the heck? like, that's like, see, it's colonialism. We're coming into other cultures, button in, and no one asked, no one asked. We were fine without you. That's how I feel. And how I also feel with it is a bit of annoyance when it comes to trying to understand my own ancestral beliefs. And I'm not indigenous because I wasn't brought up on a like tribe. I didn't have that community-based living. I'm very much modernized in a Western society, unfortunately. As much as I would love to tap into the belief systems of my own ancestors, I didn't get that privilege liberty to do so. But I got a question for you guys. If you had the opportunity to grow up and live in the belief systems of your ancestors, would you have chosen in that over a Western society? Drop your answers down below.

Coming from another city Indian I was kind of raised on my land and stuff but I grew up in Lawrence Kansas where the high school is an Indian college in my family went there and stuff it was pretty cool anyways no matter your percent or whatever because that is another

It's not the easiest thing in the world to reconnect, but you can find powwows, you can find out your tribe and what events they host and everything. you can find other indigenous communities near you to talk to.
