What kind of relationship do you want me to have with your family? Now personally I would access just because some people don't have a really close family, some people have a toxic family, some people spent years creating healthy boundaries with their family and if you are someone's partner and they did that you need to speak to them first about what kind of relationship you want them to have with their people. You can't just over set that and just be at their house and they come in news like why are you here? Like mind your manners.

I would hope that anybody who's close to me as a friend or a partner would have a good relationship with my family because that definitely makes it easier to do things together and get together for holidays and stuff like that.

So family with spouses and all that that's really on you Into the day. I mean when you get married you kind of leave Your family they leave their family and you form your own unit for the most part I get along with my in-laws But I have my core family with my in-laws mainly my mother-in-law my father-in-law and you know couple cousins, but And everybody else.

I would think the person that I'm dating should be real like cool with my family not super close until obviously we get to that point but to the point where you can call them and text them and ask them to her how I am I think that's what you should be doing

You know as you get older I believe the relationship does pivot but you should always try to have a healthy relationship one of love and respect you don't have to like your family but you do have to love them you're the only ones you got

close with my family so I don't want my partner or significant other or whatever. I don't want my girl to also have a good relationship with my family. It's not like she has to talk to them every day but you know, you go to someone to get along.

This is a great question, Sharon. And now that I'm getting older, sometimes I just really don't want to be bothered with the family. Like, I would go to family events or whatever, like go to the cookouts and stuff, but to be there like all the time, I'm okay with that because folks are fake nowadays. And I don't have time to be trying to read in between the lines whether or not if you like me or not. so high school and middle school.
