I just got done watching Beautiful Boy and it has like a 3.9 out of 5 stars in letterbox so I was hoping for an entertaining one but it was just a two hour snooze fest. I was bored this whole two hours. I will say though these characters had the best last name possible and that would be Chef. You know that's the greatest name that you can possibly have but this film follows Nick Chef as he continues this endless cycle of drug use. He continues and this film is really good at showing what these eggs go through. It's basically they stick a needle in them, you know, you do this drug use and then they get rehab and then after a couple weeks, months, whatever, they go back to it and it's just this endless cycle that will eliminate you from life. The only person that can stop it would be the person that is using the drugs. So with this being said, the father who was played by Steve Carell, he tries his hardest to get his kid back on track. Then like he was like, because Nick was this like beautiful boy growing up, he was this boy that would do anything like surfing and just this fun guy, nice kid, and he just saw his kid just completely just fall down this trap of drug addiction. As the father is trying his hardest to get back his boy that he once knew, it causes his family relationship She becomes weaker and weaker and weaker because he's just being this obsessed person trying to get his son back. Overall, good story about drug addiction. very boring.
