Hey guys I don't know if you guys have seen but there's been some backlash over Disney's casting of Nonie in the live action of Lilo and stitch so the actress that they chose was actually born and raised in the island of Hawaii but she's not what you would consider a native Hawaiian and there's a lot of backlash because Pacific islanders notoriously have a little representation in Hollywood and you know majority of the ones who are Or lighter toned so you know a lot of people are saying that to give darker skin Pacific Islanders the disability and so what are you guys think have you guys been seeing that I don't know if you guys have been keeping up with it but definitely I honestly think it should be a native Hawaiian who should get this role

Yeah I agree there's really been a lot of controversy and I think that if there just wasn't any controversy with you I'll be able to get along a lot better and it was just it was just there which is flowing out better and I think that we were just like society and the kids think the people just need to start loving more

I haven't heard about this one, but I think that they should like I Can't believe like we're still in this colorism thing and this paper this brown paper bad thing And it's 2023 like we really need to get out of that and they really need to give that to them And just allow for them to play the part It's Hawaii It's not all light people there is dark people

I think they should try and get it as spot on to the animated version as possible so I wouldn't be happy either.

Literally that's all we want. I mean I can't really talk for the Hawaiian people but all we want is representation. That's it, real true representation, not somebody who looks like or has, you know, perhaps born there and raised there, we want people who with true heritage and that seems to be too much to ask.

I haven't seen much about it, but it's so exciting that they are not representing the people that have been previously represent I think they should do a better job on that.
