Should women change their last name when they get married?

I'm a bit old school but I've changed my mind on this subject over the years. I think women should keep their family name, keep the tradition, keep the family name going.

Yes, happy to hear you say that. Like for me, I never changed my last name, but mine was more for like business purposes. You know, I have a business, so I didn't want to have to go through the whole thing of changing my name as far as social security cards and different things like that.

I think when you say should I believe it really puts everything in perspective I don't think women should change their last names when you get married I mean it's up in the air if the woman feels as though she's comfortable with doing so and giving up that part of her self and her identity then you do it

If you want to change your last name when you get married then it's okay And if you don't want to change your last name, then it's also okay. It's up to you. Like it's your choice and Why men can't change the last name men should also change the last name if they get married

I don't know as long as my kids got my last name I really need a son to carry on my last name that's what I need I said I would like who knows in the future was just gonna be like I hope he can carry it on too but yeah

I know a lot of women that don't change it because they don't want to lose their identity and others out of tradition and respect and honor for their marriage and husband. I myself changed it and yeah I'm happy but there is no wrong answer.

I think it's up to each woman. Everyone's different. Personally, I would want to just because I'm a little bit more traditional in that sense, but there's no problem if a woman doesn't want to change her last name.

Not unnecessary like it's so useless if it's at least something okay I mean you can do it but it doesn't make any sense

Absolutely, because the man is the head of the wife. The woman is not the head of the man. She takes on his name.
