So one thing that nobody ever prepared me for about motherhood was how freaking heavy and awkward it is to carry infant car seats and I really wanna know why everything I saw every TV show everyone on YouTube makes it look like you just carry that like it's a little hand bag or something no I am struggling I cannot carry that on my arm I have to carry would like to hand use my foot to like push it along like it's It's probably really funny to watch me try to carry that and that's what my husband usually does it but like I know I have no arm strength and it's a little pathetic but like does anybody else feel like it always looked you know on TV or whatever like seeing other people like do you feel like those looked a lot easier to carry than they actually are or is it literally just that I'm so weak
I totally get that and then I just recently found out there's actually a proper way to carry the car seat that we've been keeping it wrong he put your arms to the quiet loop and then you pick it up on the side of it and it's so much easier
I cannot figure out how to do that either, like no matter how hard I try. And I look at the pictures and the videos and like the little tutorials showing to carry it that way. literally cannot do that either though.
Yes, I definitely feel like TV and like even like the pictures like on the box They make it look so easy like they're just like with the biggest smile like yep this is not heavy at all this is so easy yeah okay
And even with my two year old head for like 20 pounds in the car seat oh my goodness it was like I was carrying around 50 pounds like it was ridiculous
Oh my god yeah how they not came up with some thing that way freaking either like they're huge to the freaking heavy as hell like I get why in all but damn it's fucking horrible
No literally like I am so appreciative I am so glad that I know it's keeping my baby safe but there's got to be a better way to his car to be a better way
And like have you seen the Doona stroller car seat things like that looks super easy but it's like freaking $1000 or some crazy thing like can't they make an affordable version of that
I think the one thing you're not prepared for is the fear that you can have with raising something that you love beyond reason. And that carries even into adulthood when you can't stop thinking.
My gosh, yes, I hated carrying my son's car seat when he was still in one. I tried like the hacks where you like put it on your arm and hold the side or like something like that but nothing is easy, nothing.
I have tried so hard to figure out how to do that little hack as well, but I feel like it makes it even worse It makes it even heavier even more awkward and like it just I can't figure it out. Nothing works. Nothing works
I also make my husband carry the car seat when my kids were small because my my first and my second word chunky kids and I'm a short person so I struggled to carry that car seat
Oh my gosh yes I can't even imagine how much harder it is when you're short I'm on the taller side but it's still a struggle for me and like I said I literally have to use my leg like I lean against my thigh and like maneuver myself forward but oh my gosh
I had a Junior and when he was reaching like about a year I was like OK this isn't saying he's getting so much heavier I couldn't do it especially my car door wouldn't open the white so I was even more annoying
That's crazy. I've seen those and like I've always thought that that would be so much easier But to hear like that that's not even easier like that's crazy Seriously, like technology is so far advanced there has to be a better way. needs to invent something.
It's really not that bad but my mom she used to like she used to like kids do it But I believe don't do it. She does it but she was like like do you have more of it right? I would have felt like if you got a walker you would say
