You see the example that you gave is that the car is making contact with the ground. The glow theory is that the earth is spinning underneath us. So if the plane is suspended in the air, that means the earth should be moving because it's spinning. So he's saying do you have to compensate, what he's asking is, do you have to compensate for the rotation of the earth?
