Okay, so in no way, shape, or form am I insulting anyone, and I hope I do not offend anyone by asking this question, but what's a clothing brand you're not gonna buy from? Like a brand that you either have purchased from in the past or have never purchased from and you don't plan to? Because for me, it's Shein. I just cannot, I've never supported them, but I've heard so many awful things about that company and I have no intention of ever buying anything from them. And same goes for like Fashion Nova and Boohoo, just like those major fast fashion companies, I just cannot see myself supporting. And that's just me being honest. I know it's really affordable and stuff, but I think the cons outweigh the pros when it comes to purchasing things that cheap. And I actually knew someone who would buy it for one-time wear and then toss it in the trash. So it's not environment-friendly either, you know what I mean? So yeah, that's my honest answer. And if you wanna tell me yours, please tell me.
For me, it would be the Children's Place. It's a knockoff Osh-bosh-kabosh, and it's the biggest collection of polyester I've ever seen. To be fair, I haven't been there in the recent years, so I don't know if they've upgraded, but for me, it's the Children's Place and Timu. I gave it a try, and then I did the research. I
Well with me, I go to thrift stores. I like shopping at thrift stores because you can find really good deals at thrift stores. So yeah, I like going there. You don't know what you can find and yes, I always expect the clothes. For one, to see if they're my size because you know, you have to do that. And also make sure there's no holes or see if they're pretty good in condition. A lot of them are. So yeah.
You know, no shame in going to thrift stores, and honestly more power to you because I actually love thrifting myself. And it's honestly way more sustainable and affordable than going to the mall or some sort of online platform to shop. But no, but getting to my point here, I noticed that in thrift stores, actually, there's a lot of fast fashion brands there and that, you know, it's not my favorite thing, but it happens, you know? So, but at the end of the day, everyone's saving money.
i've never bought from this brand because of their unethical practices and i don't give a fuck how cheap it is um yeah i can't wear that on my body uh qian yeah yeah i remember when it first rolled out and all the females especially were obsessed with it and i did go on it and then i did fill up my shopping cart and then something in me said alisa just google this company and i did and then i read about their practices um and
I'm gonna say Rainbow Shop. Now, I know everybody shops at Shein, Fashion Nova, those places, but Rainbow Shop was the first one to start this shit with the cheap-ass clothes that end up having a hole in it after six months. I stopped shopping there years ago, especially for their shoes. It was trash. The whole store is trash. The only time you go there is if you really need something fast.
I would say American Ego, like it just seemed like some bullshit, it just seemed like some regular old bullshit you could have simply got out of Walmart and you just put an American Ego stamp on it and people be like oh my goodness it's so it's so chic it's so nice it's so you know it's so I don't know all the little words y'all use for the shit nowadays but to me it just seemed like a waste of damn money and waste of time looking at that bullshit it just
Um, I'm honestly not buying from any brands and everything. For one, I don't like to be a walking billboard and I just don't believe in spending all this unnecessary money for things to fuel someone else's legacy, you know? So I'd rather just wear plain clothes and that's it. I'm at the point right now where I'm just gonna be making my own clothes.
I love the phrase walking billboard because I feel like that's how so many people are, especially with like loud labels like designer labels especially. So I'm really glad you brought that up. And you know what, wearing plain clothes is totally okay. Do what makes you happy. And making your own clothes is really cool. I do not know how to do that, but that's honestly such a cool skill set. And I hope you make all the clothes that make you happy.
That was one reason why I never considered wearing baby fat in the past, because you could just look at something from afar and you just knew it was baby fat.
