Well, it's very difficult. I don't know what the situation is like, but the fact that you're self aware of it and that you understand that there is healing to be done. I think you're on the right step and on the right path of

You're on the right path to being a better parent. Despite that you're healing from them, it's still, I think, incumbent that the children still see their father or be around their father despite of whatever he has done to you.

So keep up the good work. I hope that you heal from all this. Put your faith in Jesus and in God, and I guarantee things will come better.

What I can say is create healthy boundaries. The person that you're healing from probably does not accept your boundaries. Do not take any crap.
