that subtitles were originally made for the Deaf community, but how many of us hearing people actually use them? And I'm not talking about just with anime or anything that's not in your native language. I mean, all the time. I legitimately feel like I cannot hear properly without the subtitles on. What's with that? And then there's people that have to turn down the radio when they're driving because they have to focus on the road. What is with our sight and sound being mixed up like that?
That's like reversing. You got to turn down the radio to reverse and park correctly. But not for real. I feel like I can't hear the TV without the subtitles. I don't know why.

Yo, I use the subtitles all the time because my dogs like to randomly bark at strangers walking down the street through the front window and it interrupts the dialogue and so I don't miss things. I don't have to keep pausing and waiting for my dogs to stop barking so I just keep watching with the subtitles. Yeah, so I use them and I'm perfectly capable of hearing.
