Did you guys know that, uh, Marvel offered Sony the film rights for literally all of its superheroes for only $25 million back in 1998? Sony rejected the deal and only bought the rights for Spider-Man for $10 million. Could you imagine if they got the entire rest of the Marvel Universe for another $15 million on top of Spider-Man? I don't think we'd have had the MCU we have now, if that was the case. Bullet dodged.
To be honest, I mean, let's be real, it's not good now, but the first decade, it was good. You know, if I wanted to see a different deal, I would say George Lucas didn't give away Star Wars and he kept going himself, you know, because at least Marvel's got really good films. Like, that's legendary, the Infinity Saga, you know, it's just top-tier, you know, series right there. You know, they just couldn't hold up the candle after.
