Sorry for my loud background but I've been battling with depression for a little bit here and I was just trying to see if you guys could help me out with some ways that you deal with it.
I would say for me, Priceton, whenever I feel down, I will either write poetry, go for a walk, or drive. I'll listen to music, or I'll watch something that's inspirational. I would do certain things, just, you know, take my mind off it. And that's just like little things.
Like little things that like you could do. I mean honestly just by you know even pinpointing what's making you down could also be a good way to solve that. Because it could be something that's going on in your life and you just pinpoint each thing and then you try to solve it.
Even if it's a step-by-step process, if you take your time with it and you break it down, you might just get out of that hole and then you just keep going.
Definitely like your way of words and your poetry is such a great outlet that it just relieves like it relieves a lot of stress. Thank God I found it you know like definitely needed though and I feel it I feel it I vibe with you I like that.
Just try to think positive and get the negativity out of my mind. Because I've dealt with a lot of depression ever since I lost my grandma, but I'm trying.
Sometimes I would vent to people just to get different points of views because sometimes we can be stuck in our own depression where we don't see our own issues.
Hey fam hey that's so raisin girl I know how you feel um it takes a lot to get out of it I would say definitely listening to uplifting music up lifting is the key part um
Definitely watching funny shows. Like that is definitely one of the things that I love doing. Watching something that you're very comfortable with but is funny and you know it is funny.
Go get a workout. Get on Kanye's workout plan. Maybe not Kanye's. Maybe not his. But go on get your little workout on. Put your gems in girl. Get you some healthy fruit juices flowing in you girl.
And I tell you what, I kid you not. Meditate, you know, on just how great you are, how wonderful you are, things that you have accomplished in your life. Make a list, check it twice, you know.
Some people may say, oh no, you need to take the credit. It's you that did a good job. No. Everything, God is everything. God works through everything and thankful for God and Jesus, which is the Son of God, helped me go through it and get through it. And I'm still going.
Through God, through Jesus, depression has been something that I've battled just as recently. I'm 32 years old now, but God has got me through this depression and without him I probably wouldn't be able to do it. All credit goes to him. Now some people may say-
Personally, I try not to isolate myself because when I'm depressed, that's something I really want to do. And when I do that, it takes me a lot longer to get out of it. So I try to plan things socially, either going for hikes or going to a show.
It gets real. Sometimes you got to write in a journal. Sometimes you got to rap it out. Sometimes you got to dance it out. Sometimes you got to pray it out. Sometimes you got to walk it out. It's sometimes it takes a real whole process.
Hey fam, I hope you feel better soon. I know depression is very hard. I always, you know, if you want to DM, we can talk, we can chit chat, whatever it is. I'm open to listening.
