It's common knowledge that there's a room behind Mount Rushmore called the Hall of Records. It was the sculptor's idea to keep important government documents enshrined there, but the project was abandoned in 1941. In 1998, the government completed the project with a repository of records placed in a titanium vault beneath the floor of the hall entryway. But is that really all that's in that vault?
