Well, the first one, I was driving my mom's very expensive car and these police officers didn't think that this beautiful brown woman should be driving such an expensive car. So they pulled me over and called backup and then it took them about an hour and some time to figure out that I had the right to drive the car. That was a lot of fun.

Well, like I said, I have many encounters with the police officers and Boots be quiet. They're saying about you But anyways one ended with granny spending an entire week behind bars. Yeah, I said it I went to jail you can call me gangster granny and I earned it

Well you see, what sent me to jail was, see granny knows how to fight a little bit, you know, just a little bit. I've only been trained in a couple of things. And yeah, see there was this very light-skinned man that came to my 35th birthday party and yeah, he shouldn't have done that. And he was not invited. So I broke my hand in five different places on the back of his skull and I sent him to the hospital. So they sent me to jail.

And then there was another time I was working in this warehouse job again. I was a lot younger than I am now and this this group of women decided they were gonna try to Push their weight around me thinking that I would just buckle and be like, you know Intimidating and I grabbed one up by her shirt and I looked at I said we can take this outside If you're ready to go I'm ready to go Let's go outside. So she went and reported me to the boss and said I Threatened her

So the very recent time was um, you know, I'm older now So I'm sitting in my carport right here in the middle ghetto. I said middle ghetto That's right in this young girl who blocked me in and I told her to move kindly move her car Okay, I might have used some curse words, but we ain't gonna go there and she got a little irate with me And I showed her what an old grandma could do And then she called the police and but the police took my side because I'm older and she was only 20s

I have many, many more police encounter stories that need longer than a minute. Like, I need a whole show to talk about police encounter stories with Granny Wells because I've had many. But I've only been to jail one time. I mean, in 51 years that's pretty good one time, right? I mean, Juvenile Hall don't count no more, right? Juvenile Hall is like old school. Yeah, that don't count no more.
