you know sometimes I see pictures and footage from this era and I'm like yo I would have loved to be there but then I also consider the climate of the country at the time and I'm like damn but the way the fashion wasn't what people carried themselves like I'm like I fuck with it but fuck I hate how much this country fucking hated us like it's hard but I love this era

Literally, my exact thoughts, like, I love how they were just so classy, always dressed up, pristine. Nowadays, people don't really care about their appearance. They just don't. They just, the way they dress is like... But I would have loved to be there strictly for the way black people treated each other and the way they dressed, but not for the racism.
