What's up, Stereo World? This is a question for the elders of Stereo, the veterans who have been on here since its inception, or from the early days. What do you guys think of the posts on Stereo in general? Do you like the direction of the app, or do you think it's straying a little far from what it started out as? I'd be interested to hear. And this is not a question for those of you who have posted a rate me picture. And I understand the irony of asking this through a post, but I'm just interested to hear what you guys think.
What is the teenage girl just trying to fight for attention and these fucking loser ass dudes trying to think that they're special trying to get a girl and like it is the sorriest thing bro Facebook Instagram TikTok Snapchat every fucking thing is about shoot your shot digitally but nobody does the shit face to face and it's just a waste of time I thought we were headed into actually have some conversations but
Yeah I was on the stereo when I first came out I loved it I did a bunch of shows daily shows two times a day my shit was Poppin right that was back when you had him to people show and then once they start implementing all these hosts I got out because it was it was just shit and now sense it's just gotten worse I mean now it's just a bunch of fucking is a thirst trap or are you gonna have is just these teenage girls
Yeah, I agree. I remember doing a couple shows with you, actually, back in the day, and it was, uh, much better. It was almost better when it was two people, but, um, you know, even after they expanded, I didn't really mind that. I mean, it can get a little congested, but the fucking- the posts and the thirst traps are just completely out of hand, you know? We don't need this. This is one- this isn't what the app is for, right? It should be about talking and having actual conversations.
Well you know The direction of the app is younger so you know I don't want to hate on the younger people some of them like maturity it's just all a big joke so it could be annoying but you know grown-ups we have lies we can't give the activity that the young people good because they got the time so I can't be mad Asteria
Yeah, that's definitely a good point. I mean, stereos obviously got to try and get market to like a younger audience, get more people on here. I understand that. I just think that stereos should be separating like the adults and the children, you know, through like age verification, whatever. Like if you're over 18, you only interact with content from people over 18. You're not, you know, mixing adults and like children, you know, because you have nothing in common. We have nothing to talk about with the teenagers, right? So, I don't know, there should be some separation.
I absolutely agree, um, now I ran into, well, not teenage, well 18 is teenagers, but I never really talked to an 18 year old, but I ran into some, you know, 21, 22, 23, that was very mature for the most part, um, some of them was clueless and we couldn't talk about anything. So, you know, I'm okay if stereo puts in an algorithm that separates us, absolutely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Great question, Nick. What's happening, by the way? Yeah, I would say stereo has strayed very far from its roots. And I don't know where they're going, but I don't know, man. Yeah, with all the Rate Me stuff, it just kills me. It used to be about substantive conversations. And I don't mind the post thing, right? Because some of the posts are even, like this one, it's thought-provoking and inclusive. So, yeah, could do better.
Yeah, it's certainly strayed far away since the inception. I think the posting actually isn't the worst thing, but the way it's being used right now is not great, and I definitely wish there was a little bit of a divide between the teenagers and the older people on here, for sure.
