This is a serious question of course. If you really truly believe that you are really doing the work of unlearning white supremacy without any guilt or shame, that you own it yourself, but that in fact you are a participant, please leave a comment.
God bless your optimism. You realize you're on stereo asking people here if they've read books, right? I think the most that they've read is probably the caption for this sound ****.
Are you reading it? Is your wife reading it? What about your mother, your daughter? Oh you, well I guess she's not old enough. Are you reading it to her? Or maybe that might be too mature. But do you know people in your family that are reading it?
You know, I don't understand. I never heard of the book. Please do tell me on it. But why do I need a book is what I want to ask you. I'll give my opinion, but I want to ask you first. Why do you think I need a book to get rid of white supremacy out of my life?
I don't know if you meant it like that. I may have misunderstood, forgive me if I did. But you know, if you really were implying that I have to read a book to change my ways, that's just wrong and ritualistic. I'm against racism in my heart and I'm going to do the best I can.
Yes, I am a white young man, 21, okay? I still have a lot of stereotypical stuff in my mind, a lot of jokes, a lot of things I make mistakes on, but you know, I'm not gonna let it hold me down, I'm gonna change my way so I'm gonna do better, be better.
I used to be in the hide phase but now I'm starting to get into the open phase. You know, I've been more religious so I've been restrictive because you know I believe more we're brothers and sisters of Christ. However, you know, I, you know, am against racism and I have openly went against people, even my own mother.
I'm not fully fully open yet, you know, I'm working on my wife with God first, you know, I'm more open than I'm a man of God with my brothers and sisters, whether they're black or white, still, you know, working on it because, you know, there's a lot of people that are just more intelligent and have more information than I do.
In conclusion, I don't think a book is really going to help. You know, I think the only books I should be reading is on the history and the facts about racism that's in this country, so I can use his ammunition against my white brothers and to help out.
I've just been slow sister, you know, because I've been concentrating on God. I've been trying to find him He's got to be first in my life before you know, I go into other research You know, I got to go into him first and then I can start researching to help out our fellow Israelites
Thank you for leaving a message. I think to answer your question You might have to answer it for yourself. So go back and listen to what you said read the question and then Answer again if you have time time
I guess you're right, I mean I don't really know anyone who reads it, you know, I just haven't really been too social lately anyways. But you know, I just, I feel like still, you know, is it really something that I need to read to prove myself? I think I prove myself through my actions and what I believe in.
It's just the way you said it, I guess, is what I'm saying. The way you said it, with your voice, you were saying, you know, you know, if you listen to it, you know, this like that, you know, get rid of your supremacy, you know, I just wanted to know about that too.
If you decide to read it or listen to it as I'm doing, I'm listening to the audiobook, I think it'll be worth having a follow-up conversation. I don't think we're going to add any value to it if you haven't really listened to it.
Well, I'm not in the process of reading that book, but out of curiosity, I just, I googled it just after reading this post. I googled it. It's a good book, people should read it, but I'm not interested.
