My self-care is usually getting off of work taking my shoes off off, starting my bathtub up, nice warm water, and pretty much I lay in the bathtub, then I had to start stroking my shit.
Ummm nothing. I do absolutely nothing for myself or self care. I am dealing with some postpartum depression and finding any like self-care or time to myself is just not a thing right now.
Alicia, where do you live? I'm going to come over and watch your kids for you so you can go get some self care. or at least like someone just said up here to go take a bath a nice warm epsom salt bath
That is so awesome. Good for you mama. If I do get a mom day or like a day to myself, I definitely love to go get a massage. Acupressure, it is the best. Turn.
Tell me about acupressure. What's different from acupuncture and different from massage? Do you go somewhere specific for that or is that something you do at home?
I do that plus facial massages and regular massages both of which are game changers And let me just add that these house cleaners coming over twice a month is also some self-care
I get mine professionally done by a medical esthetician. So if you want to go that route, make sure that they are a medical esthetician so you know that they know facial anatomy and know what they're doing.
I had no idea how much tension I was holding in my face until I started doing this. And I had to up the budget on this because it was such a game changer. It's the same thing with the regular massages.
I gotta say though that the house cleaners are the biggest self care for me. There's just something about having a super clean house all the time and I don't have to do all the scrubbing. I just do the daily maintenance and then the cleaners come by every two weeks.
I do my own minis and patties, but recently I started getting massages and oh my gosh It has been such a game-changer for my self-care routine. I never knew how much I actually needed a professional massage
For my self care, I love to go get my nails done. I love, love, love doing all my skincare at night and just like literally any type of thing, skincare wellness I love.
What I usually do for self-care now that I'm a mom is just even going for walks, recording videos for fun here. I mean I have to record them here at school, but that helps me.
So I'm actually on the same boat. I mean, just getting my nails done, my toes and my eyebrows and lashes just make me feel so good. so good and it's part of obviously my self-care because I don't really get to do this.
I'm poor, but I like keeping up with myself. I like have a little simple skincare routine. I do a lot in the shower, tree huts, go scrubs. It just makes me feel better about myself and helps my depression.
