I was literally just thinking about this and you know how like when people come to America We're like and they've been here for a while. They don't drop their accent like owner sourcing there It seems like his accent just he refuses to drop it. They're like, I don't know to Kimmy Mottonville I don't know why came to mind, but the real question is like To people that aren't American do Americans have an accent Do we have an accent to you guys? You don't think about it because Everybody's a foreigner to somebody But do we have an accent? And if we do have an accent, what is it? Is it like, is it like, hi, Maine? What's going on, Maine? What are you talking about? I don't know if it's country, but what do we sound like to people that aren't American? Cause I don't know why I'm just thinking about this right now. Like, do we sound weird? I don't know. Cause you don't hear a French person come over here and they sound weird, but do Americans sound weird to everybody else? What you guys take on that? Interesting.
Okay, here's here's here's my take on this globally. Yes, Americans have an accent, but in terms of just in America regionally Californians do not have an accent and I'm gonna say that because We have Hollywood When people come to be in the movie industry, they got to learn how to talk like Californians because we dictate How the whole world talks in my opinion. So, America...
So I'm gonna say America, yes, has an accent. But, like the American accent I want to say is like patently Californian. Hey, Plop, you wanna get in on this? Meow.
I'm pretty sure that's because like one seventh of Americans live in California, but we're not gonna talk about that. Yeah, I'll repeat that. If you didn't hear me, one seventh. One out of seven people in America live in California. That's how huge the population is there. Isn't that wild? Yeah, that's probably because it's a gold rush, but we don't talk about that either.
Yes yes Americans do you have an accent you Americans all sound like no I'm just joking but you actually do have an accent fissure I would definitely go with that me not being an American I can hear it definitely
Dreamy I don't know why I thought you were from America but you're probably yeah I can't say you're wrong you're definitely right goodness yeah I think we do have accents I agree with you
I guess it really just depends on where you from I am from New York and when I travel to other places people can instantly just tow that I'm from New York just by hearing me speak I personally don't understand but they always get that right
Hey Nelson as well yeah I can hear your accent a little bit I don't know what it is about New Yorkers I feel like it might be an energy thing your kids have a lot of energy I know explain it but yeah you do kind of have a little bit of New York ex and I probably would've guessed it to honest
Yes of course I gotta ask it I mean like it depends what state you go to they always got an ax even down here in the south and then I gotta pay these bills and these ladies over here with them and since seven me to go you know
You know it's funny cheeky are you right and I feel like the south has the best accent in America I'll be honest sending people have the best accents I don't know what is about center folk they just got the best accent and they're usually the funniest people but yeah I agree with you chickie yogurt
Hajimari right we do take everything for granite America's a spoiled but we also it's weird cause America's weird cause we actually spoiled but we also abuse especially black we get it we don't get nothing that we deserve this country that mean you're right yeah the exit yeah I agree
Oh absolutely bro Chicago people don't say time is a tam am I daddy I'm just picking on the Midwest by itself I can go you know to West Coast people in Dallas haven't even East Coast but in the in the Midwest Malone get access in all they say it was kind of the week we say the open shit up here which we don't let you know they say
Hello Chris, so I'm not an American and I do think Americans have an accent. Although of course it can vary differently depending on the region as well. So there's that. And you see that's why American English versus British English is a thing. Because although you guys speak the same language, which is English, English but people can actually differentiate you and it goes for any other languages as well.
And to answer to your other question, do Americans sound weird to everybody else? To me at least, no not at all. In fact, you guys sound familiar. And that is because of our exposure to Hollywood. And what we see and what we listen from the movies and TV shows from America is what we would say the standard American dish.
What I feel like ignore matter what country are from like anyone who doesn't sound like from where you're from is going to have an accent you like that's just put an accent is and so y'all like to other countries like we have an accent but I guess like in terms of people coming from other countries to American staying here long-term like I feel like they're exit from where they're from just like slowly starts to go away I
