Okay, mamas and daddies, how did you guys go about naming your children? Did you name them by yourself? Did your partner help you? Are you guys switching off? So I named this one, you named the next one. For me, it wasn't supposed to be like I named her all by myself, but I came up with the name and he liked it and it worked that way. So I am going to give him a little bit more opportunity in naming our next child, but Honestly, I think I'll take over that too.
I don't have kids but I know a lot of people do my best friends kids name is Wixom and it's a he's named after his dad's mothers maiden name which is really Scottish and I usually like the like family names but like the obscure family names not they like juniors but the obscure family names or my cousins name was picked directly out of the phonebook if anybody knows her phone book is still
With both children I named them we have two girls and my oldest has my name in her middle name and my youngest has my grandma's name in her middle name and he just agreed you know he didn't disagree he just was like OK cool whatever but we have two girls so if it was a boy I know to add his dad's name to it and then my dad's name to it so it would have to be that way
My husband had the idea for what we ended up going with for our first child so I chose the middle name and then on the second kid he still didn't really want to go with what I wanted to but he ended up coming around in the end because I really kind of stuck to my guns with that one because I was pretty sure about that name And then he chose the middle name for that one
It was pretty easy. We came up with a name, but then we didn't like my partner settled and I wanted to keep like coming up with different names or seeing other names that I was interested in, but then I ended up not liking any so I just settled with the name we originally agreed on and I love it.
We did it together and he actually chose the names that I agreed on and he did really good. So... And then the middle names are family names like grandma names and grandpa's names. You saying?
So my wife, Kwan-Dilius, and we made the biggest decision. It took a while, but we named him my child Dimitrius de Marqueris by following me with James the 3rd Jr. And he is very ugly. His uncle is Kwan-Dil Dingle. in... yeah.
Yeah, I think it works in our favor that men typically aren't too uptight about names, as long as it's just not like outright crazy. So they're just like, yeah, whatever, that's fine.
I have a friend whose middle name is her mom's maiden name and I think that's like a thing in their family where like you just give your kid, the wife's maiden name as one of their names so that it stays in the family. I thought that was cool.
So I would just search up like unique names because I really like them and then I would relay a few that I liked to my husband and if he didn't like what I would cross it off my list we would normally come to agreement on one baby name. all three of my kids middle names are named after someone that we're related to.
Oh I love hearing about Nieves how people pick names in the background of leaves oh but yeah my daughters name we kind of chose together are my grandmas Japanese so the part first part of her name is ocean in Japanese is it her Biddle day is the same as mine so yeah I thought that was pretty cute
