So lately I've just been super like overstimulated and just had a lot going on and we didn't get out of the house Monday or Tuesday. So I decided to take the boys out of the house today and I brought a bluetooth speaker to the park and we just went for a walk and they loved it. We played some of their favorite songs. We played red light, green light and now we are sitting at the park having lunch. But I want to know what do you guys do when you're overstimulated and you just need to relax or just need a break or to change the scenery, but you stop the kids with you. What do you do?
You should get yourself some of those like over the head headphones not the like earbuds with the ones that we go over your head and just find a good podcast she wanna listen to or maybe even just like ambiance music or like some soothing sounds just to help like you're mine kind of like relax while you're still like with your kids and stuff and you're still like doing stuff throughout the day or like out and about but like mentally your
Oh this is a good question I was actually feeling this way yesterday and I asked my brother if he can please watch him for a little bit while I go to the coffee shop and get some work done so that worked out today I feel a lot better
I totally feel this and I totally have felt like this a lot lately when the weather is nice something that helps me is go for a walk like by myself on my husbands home to watch the boys I feel like I can think the clearest when I go for a walk and just get some fresh air and just yeah I just definitely feel more peace and sleep always helps but obviously you can just sleep whenever The kids are awake but even just taking a breather just like going in the other room for a second and counting to 10 sometimes helps
You said if you're overstimulated but you still have the kids with you what do you do it really sounds like you're doing everything correctly already like you got them off the house because y'all didn't go out for the past couple days got them dressed went to the park with speaker chill with them play with them went got them something to eat I think that's amazing like if you have somebody they can come watch them for you you can do something for yourself that will help you personally
I think you did the right thing we're getting outside nature is grounding fresh air is grounding It's good to put like the devices away but you could always try listening to sound like relaxing meditative or classical music or if you put your headphones in and listen to Binaural Beats if you're feeling like your kids are stimulated to you could try doing breathing breathing exercises with them
