So I've recently been watching Lovers Blind and things like Married at First Sight, which kind of made me think about the double standard that we have. These people are going on these shows and marrying people they barely even know, right? But as a society we kind of look down upon arranged marriages, especially because they're kind of cultivated within black and brown cultures, right? arranged marriages aren't typically something that comes from mainstream cultures or society but because they come from black and brown cultures, arranged marriages are heavily frowned upon or kind of blitz out with side eyes, whereas people going on these shows and basically doing the same thing, let me know what you think about this double standard because it it's kind of like a, yeah, it's kind of a food with thought.

Yeah I completely agree with you actually have a friend who is getting married through an arranged marriage and he was able to get to know his future wife from the video side of the world as he was in the US and she was in another country and he was able to get to know her he fell in love with her in a knot by being even next to her like physically but pretty much anything on her through like FaceTime through the phone and all that stuff so yeah it's deafly interesting

So I totally get what you're saying in the sense of the way the culture gets look down upon it as far as arrange marriage I do see a difference though as far as going on a game show because from what I know of arrange marriages and correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not that religion or I don't practice that they don't really get to know the person they're being arranged you like they know the highlights like OK Yeah she's a doctor

Yeah, you're absolutely right because it's only acceptable until white people put their approval check mark next to it. When it's brown and black people doing arranged marriages in a bar barric and it's you're forcing people against the law etc. When they do it, it's okay.

And just to add I'm definitely talking about arranging marriages and not forced marriages and those are two completely different things
