Yes, I do believe in the Evo Eye. So the Evo Eye pops out in a lot of different cultures. In ancient Egyptian, Jewish, Mexican culture, Turkish culture. So you're going to see it in a lot of them. So I would explain on my own perspective, on my own life, which I have in Turkish and Mexican culture.
So I met chicken and throughout my entire life my grandmothers, my mom would always talk about the evil eye, el maleojo. And so how do we felt that? Well, basically, for example, let's say you are all dolled up, you are a beautiful baby toddler and you're just walking and you look so cute and a lot of people complimenting you and then suddenly you fell. evil eye.
So what my grandmother would do, what my mom would do is grab an egg and She would do la limpia. That means the cleanse. So the egg she would do like a trespére no estrofe, which is the prayer and Catholic. I forgot the English. Somebody help me out here and she would just grab the egg and pass it all over my body and so three times and that's how you cleanse it out and and and and after
and after you clenched with the entire body with the egg you're gonna grab a glass with water and then you're gonna break the egg in there okay so then you're gonna wait like 15 minutes you can put it under your bed and go on with your rest of the day you can sleep it off and in the morning or after 15 minutes you're gonna see the then you're gonna see like the
You're gonna see like the egg yolk like different shapes of form and and there is a specific art form on reading These interpretations so that would be the Mexican interpretation of the evo-eye then I'll move on with the Turkish one.
So for the Turkish one, there is this iconic blue eye, right? The evil eye. So in Turkish it's called nazar boğul. Okay? Nazar boğul. And nazar boğul, that is iconic, but it's not just iconic, but also for example, you should never tattoo on your body. Never tattoo on your body. Thank you.
So my Turkish teachers would always tell me never tattoo on your body. Never do nail art, only jewelry, only t-shirts, like clothing, jewelry, just but accessories even, but never on your body. Don't ever ever tattoo because if there's an evil eye like coming through you, it can hate you because the evil eye is taking on you
It's taking on you as your vessel So let's say as somebody is like complimented you, you know the evil eye it can be intentional maliciously or unintentionally like maliciously what I mean is that you know people can be generally like not trying to Give you any like malicious intent, but they're jealous or it can be like they're just complimenting you like really hard but
But they are not like sending you malicious intent, they're just like really hard-core admiring you. So, you know, that is the evil eye. It can be somebody that is like seriously admiring you or it can be somebody that's giving you malicious intent. So not all evil eye are bad, it just, you know, it just happens. And so let's say your best friend is, you know, like really likes your hair and you know, so I on Delicious Uplifting had kind of a fanty human fan.
so your friend will like your hair right and your style for hours and hours and you know you look fly you think you look hot and then your friend is like oh my god like i love your hair and then you're like hey cool things but then um like the next day for some reason um somebody spilled you soda just an example soda right so that is an evil eye your friend gave you an evil I because he really like your hair so
So in Mexican culture, one thing that you do to avoid is to, like people always say, like, oh, touch my hair, touch my hair. And you know, it depends on like each culture, right? I know some people, they're like, no, don't touch my hair, you know, it's, you know, without my permission. Well, yeah, like I'm just explaining, you know, like what is in my culture. So, so, you know, it can be iffy iffy. for this example.
Yes, which is why I wear the nazar to protect me from the evil eye. That round blue eye that people call the evil eye is not the evil eye, it's the nazar, which is what protects you from the evil eye. And lots of people mistake it for, well, the evil eye. But yes, short answer, sorry, yes, I believe in it.
