Yo, so for this one, do you use Alexa? For me, no, I haven't really seen the use of it. I've been to quite a few people's houses and I've seen people use it for all different sort of things like playing music, telling them facts or adjusting the lights in rooms. But for me, I just find that it's not really necessary. Like, I can do all this things myself, I can search it up if I want to or I can get up and just dim the lights. But you like to hear thoughts.
Yes, I've gotten used to having two Alexa's actually over the years and I think you're absolutely right There's nothing Alexa can do that I can't do myself. It's just convenience in so many ways when you have her. When you've had Alexa and you don't have her you really notice the difference.
One example is I do various sports and I've also got a dog. So very often when I come back home after I've been out, my hands are full, all of that. I've got a dog, I've got equipment, etc, etc. Having a leg such as just turn stuff on whether it's my camera lights everything is great.
So it's certainly not like I can't live without her, and I'm probably only utilizing 5% of the actual power, but I remember I got my Alexa for 20 quid and the other was a gift so for that price it was absolutely worth it
Yeah, you made some very good points there. I think because I have never bought one and I've never sort of used it in my day to day. I can't really resonate with that sentiment, But I get what you mean.
Yeah, I know exactly. I think you're bang on that, you know, it's a hygiene factor. You won't notice if you don't have it, but when you do have it, it's nice. It does convenient things for you essentially, but that's about it.
To be honest I've never owned a Lexa and it's never appealed to me to even have one. I remember a story where a girl did a challenge, like a young girl, I don't know, like 8 years old who was told or instructed by a Lexa to put a fork on the plug, like nah man, and Plus, that'd be listening to you, man. So don't trust it.
I don't want to use any of those kinds of technology I've heard way too many creepy stories I already know I'm being listen to watched on my cell phone probably my laptop I don't wanna make it any easier
So we have a couple of them around my house I do not have a alarm clock for like getting up and stuff so I do use my Alexa and sometimes she acts up and I'm like girl literally work but yeah I do
I use these all the time. I have a few around the house. I have smart lights all over the house, smart TVs, smart plugs, that kind of thing. I use them to leave messages, call people. I can't find my phone. I'll tell it to call my phone and I'm able to find it that way. They've been very useful in controlling everything and making everything just a little bit easier. So So I'm going to stick to it and add more smart devices.
I think if you dive deep into automation would like Siri for example Alex I'm sure you can do some black hole shit like when you enter the whole more like when you know when you wake up for example like a make a coffee for you automatically shall I do is crazy
