So which one are you? Are you an Airbnb person? Are you a hotel person? Or someone who just typically stays with friends and family? No matter what the answer is, I found recently that a lot of people are starting to kind of go back to hotels and friends and family just because of all the restrictions with Airbnb's. And for those who are hosting Airbnb's, they're starting to find out that it's not as worth it as it used to be because of some of the horror stories they're experiencing or have heard about with other people who rent out their homes or places. What are your thoughts?
To be honest in Europe the Airbnb situation isn't that bad yet you can still get some really cool places with not much restriction it's only when they require you to clean the dishes and do the stuff that hotel would never require you to do and it's the same price the hotel where I can afford of me
That's the part that gets me the most. And if I'm doing all of these things, which I don't mind doing, you know, leave things better than you found them, but where all these fees coming from, a cleaning fee and this fee and that fee, Give me a break.
Some want to blame COVID for things changing, but I think that people just progressively got more greedy when they realized that it was a money grab and it caused the whole business model to fall because people are unsatisfied on both sides, renters and the people who are renting.
I am but growing up we were definitely like just hotel people because Airbnb was not a thing yet Yeah my mom would always prefer to stay in hotels and was like family she just didn't want to like bother them and I love the concept of Airbnb's especially like that just like the different ones but yet there is a lot of restrictions out there now
If it's up to me if I'm really really traveling I rather stay at a hotel I don't I don't like doing Airbnb's coasters like Amazon or things like that whatever if I really want to be as cheap as I am I'd rather just stay with family just suck it all up honestly
Completely out of control on pricing plus the cleaning fees like I get that ear and trusting in your house or apartment to other people but at the same time it's practically the cost of rent for way too long leave even if you're just staying there for a night I definitely try to stay with friends and family and hotels as not homey as they are
I'm definitely more of a hotel person but there are certain scenarios where an Airbnb in my opinion could be better like if you're going to big bear or Coachella in my experience air B&Bs are more convenient for moments like that
