Hey mamas arm I am needing some advice on how to potty train my two-year-old she will pee in the potty sometimes but it's not consistent she doesn't act like she wants to go I just need some tips so if you have them please see them down below because your girls struggling and I'm tired of changing poopy diapers all the time so please help
So with my stepdaughter we waited until the time where we would be home with her consistently for like a week I think it was so that we could be consistent with her and all of that but the biggest thing the hell it was taking her to pick out her own special underwear
And every day in the morning she got to pick which pair of underwear she wanted to wear so she had her special like princess belle or princess Ariel underwear on and if she had an accident mainly a poop accident then
Then she would have to throw that pair of underwear away and it sounds a little mean but it works really well because she really had like I don't like pride I guess and wanted to like take care of them and make sure she didn't have accidents
So what kind of teaching her like responsibility in a way as well and like taking pride in care of your belongings like things that are special to you so I don't know but that works really well for us once we started doing that she only had like three or four poop accidents and then
And then just never did again, but good luck. Be patient. It takes time. There will be setbacks and and yeah just know that you're doing a good job and she's gonna get it eventually.
And I forgot to say to the reason why we did it when we had like a week of consistency was because I would literally remind her all the time like I would sit like a timer and be like OK you're gonna sit on the potty and try for a few seconds and just keep doing that
and sometimes she would go, sometimes she wouldn't, but we just made like an agreement that you're gonna try, you know, every hour, every two hours, just keep trying and see what happens.
So my daughter started showing interest around two. She is now five and not body broken. She has moments where she chooses to go and not. But recently, like sticker rewards have been very helpful. Mind you we've tried it before but...
They are really working now, but I honestly believe like every child will go when they feel like it because I tried everything. I tried candy reward, I tried stickers, I tried every 30 minutes telling like it just didn't happen until like right about now.
I think that letting your kid run around the house naked or putting them in like big kid underwear the kind that like once it gets wet they'll fill it in they'll get uncomfortable those have been my number one tips for any parent
Oh I meant I'm interested in seeing what everyone has I know my sister-in-law said that it was way easier to train her daughter than her sons is that she trained her in one day so I'm wondering what tips used
What I mean personally I thought you'd like before two years old because the like the average life baby would start walking at 11 months old and after that you're just invincible that's what I thought
