All right so we gotta talk ya I don't start a new job I really like my job I feel like my job is important I feel value so let me just start by saying that however micro aggressions are very prevalent the reason I say this is because the field that I'm in is in my communications and Contin stuff like that I am eight in my personal opinion I communicate well and effectively but when challenged on how I communicate things that's when it becomes a problem right so My job requires clients and a lot of work that I do it never gets directed to the client for them to see my actual work it Hass to go in the filter but the issue with the work being filtered is when it's filtered Doesn't sound authentic it sounds like a pitch and it's a micro aggression and reading for me there is my sense of micro Greshon because it doesn't feel no right so I want to just like see you there and I usually ask questions and stuff like that idea like how do you handle micro aggressions at work do you like address them head on do you completely check out and say OK well I am I know my value here and I know how you want to respond so you just kind of like shut down like what do you do when it comes to micrograms at work
I don't even know how to respond to that other whatever the fuck that was done with Ella aliens out whatever yeah as one do I just ignore completely like he doesn't exist and he knows he doesn't exist.
And then the other one, I have not figured out a way to address his... I haven't figured out a way to address it, but dude, it's coming. It's coming. And it may not be professional, but I'm in the military, so...
The first thing I would like to ask you is who is mentoring you through work? I'm a high like a big supporter of mentorship and I think that mentorship outside of HR is an amazing investment.
Listen, I am a documenting receipt holding person. I understand what it's like to start at a place and say, I love it here, this, that, and the third, But you just have this one little realm of grey cloud.
The microaggressions I've experienced have been a little bit different in the sense of like, are you too happy? Like, why are you saying hi to everybody? You too bubbly. Like, what am I supposed to come in here mad? I've literally worked several places was like you're actually too happy
What I think is interesting about work is, um, it's really like high school, man. These people do things and they say things and they act away and they're acting like I don't know this is high school.
Now I feel you on this, I just try not to let it get to me. Like when people have their own issues in the workplace like y'all can keep that negative energy over there. I'm gonna communicate and do my job as best as possible. possible and if there's an issue we can discuss it but if you're
But if you're going to be aggressive about it, you could do that on your own time and and keep that to yourself. I don't really stress about the workplace issues.
Micro aggression for those who don't want micro Greshon really look it up anytime Greg is they got a problem how do you communicate they probably just want you to put it in the email and not talk put it in the email today
