Personally, I've never been on a date, but I would say, like, I'm thinking of a childish way like both can do rock, paper, scissors and whoever loses, you know? If, like, the person, whoever wanted the date first should pay, just out of respect.

Um, did the guy ask the person out? Um, if we're talking about a straight couple here, if the guy asked her out, he needs to pay. If she asked him out, she needs to pay. It's about who asked who.

Yeah, I think I'm with you on this one. Especially if he asks, I think he should pay. And then for sure, if he determines what the date is, like you're going to an event or a restaurant or whatever, then I definitely think that he should pay or at least offer to.

I personally feel either, you know, we can do 50-50 just to be fair or the person who initiated the date first should pay.

I would only do 50-50 if I don't like the guy, but if I like the guy and he asked me out for dinner, then he should be the one to offer to pay, because then what's the point?
