Someone earlier sent me a topic for discussion and basically wants me to ask you guys How do you stay in touch with friends? because this person's obviously struggling to maintain their friendships and So I thought it'd be great for us to talk about it here in case anyone else may need the advice as well For me, I'm gonna say right off the bat if I have friends that are in the area I'll ask to go out to lunch or shopping or you know have them come along with me to an event But if it's someone that is you know across the country or in a different part of the world I will basically say That I am thinking of them like through text and ask to either chat on FaceTime or have a phone call and Do what I can to let them know that I'm you know still invested in the friendship And I know that things can get so tough with life being so busy and not being able to Keep in touch with everyone and you know, it's very natural to drift apart from people But for us who want to keep in touch with our friends, I feel like that's the best way But yeah, we love to hear your guys' suggestions and keep this conversation going.
Because it's easier than ever these days to communicate with people, we can call them, we can text them, we can message them via social media, we can meet them for lunch. Off the bat, I feel like I don't have enough context to help. Why is this person having so much trouble? Without clearly defining the problem, it's difficult to create a focused solution. For example, does this person have ADHD and they can't remember to keep up with friends? Here's a thousand possibilities.
I think you see you to stay in touch wanna me and my boys and then said we grew up together and we don't talk like we don't like actually use worse to talk we literally just send each other relatable videos on Instagram every other day with sent 123 and that's how we know we still cool right there which is send each other some bullshit look like like a TikTok and both but still cool call each other next week I some you know I ain't got as soon as some
Oh my gosh, the relatable videos on social media. Oh yeah, I've done that so many times with people and even I'll send something too saying, oh this reminds me of you or remember that time when we, you know, but just sending videos as well with no other context is very true. I've definitely been there done that. And it's a great way to, I guess, keep in touch.
Since I moved to the United States like eight years ago I can do you like hang out or sleepovers with my best friend off since kindergarten so what we do is that we text once in a while and it's totally fine because if they're your real friends you'll have to text Mary day to maintain their friendship
When we text, we do have long combos and we interact with each other, we feel comfortable with each other. We also can do face-times and talk for hours. and we don't need to text every day 24-7 to maintain that friendship.
If I got good friends and they call me if they don't call me aware if they call me aware If you don't call me don't expect for me to call you because I'm not calling people. They don't call me I'm not calling people that don't make space for me. I'm not calling people that don't make time for me That's just not what I do So yeah, don't make space for people that ain't making space for you.
Honestly you should be asking me because my friend from school we barely talk at all like the last time we talk was literally the day that we were in school literally the last day and then at the day she never contact me a movie I never contact her I guess just try to like say hey catch up on which I've been doing I guess and then I guess I will start a conversation I don't know for real because my phone should be good
