YouTube recently launched a beta test for YouTube management with podcast features. So you can now upload your podcast and do some edits to it and upload it. Has anybody actually used these features before? Do you post your podcast on YouTube? if so, I'd definitely love to hear back from you.
So we don't host our podcast on YouTube we hosted on BuzzFraut But we put the video version of our episodes on YouTube and we've so far just had a giant playlist and So YouTube allows us to make that playlist into a podcast, which is what we did So I was interested to see like what that would mean for us would it mean more reach better analytics But pretty much I mean at least to me it seems like the same exact analytics and it seems like the reach is pretty much the same So I'm not really sure what it really adds to the experience to do it, but I don't know
I would say this is a really good good way forward I think this shows that YouTube has a good social listening on what's going on on their platforms because I don't know about you guys but I do watch a lot of podcast via YouTube I am outside I'm such a visual learner learner I hope they keep it visible anyways and I just love yeah I love watching so many podcasts via YouTube so I think it's a good feature
I think the issue I have with you to podcasting is the Monte they should have it Carson it's not gonna be allowed and then when you have your stuff on there the technically only if you record it on there so if you have like a plus one or cohost and record through YouTube they take a cut of your profit and the on it so I would just say just do your podcast elsewhere
I gave the hella red flags in under 26 seconds and I'm not for any of that. It should be a platform. They should not have ownership of your creativity or IP. I would never. That makes me really want to look at all these other platforms where you can record. It kind of reminds me of the conversations that I've had about Canva and how you technically don't own anything you create on Canva. You have a license to it to use it but you don't own it.
