So our oldest is four and a half and I think we're gonna do Like sign them up for a sport pretty soon This first sport and I'm just curious like if you have a kiddo that's done a sport What was their first sport? We're in between soccer and t-ball kind of leaning a little bit more towards soccer so that he can just run more than you know T-ball you're not running as much But we are a big baseball family as well I'm also curious what age did you have your kiddo do their first sport?
All three of my kids started sports at five years old and it was through the YMCA and it was soccer and I chose soccer because By the time they finished running around with practice or either game day like they would be so tired They would be wiped out and so I got a little break in That's horrible, but yeah, that's why it shows soccer.
I definitely feel like five is such a good age and you and that's what our son will be by the fall and then I never even thought of the YMCA thank you so much for mentioning that we have like different leagues around town that they're really expensive I didn't even think of the YMCA great idea and it's such a good point about soccer that they were wearing out the most because he is a hyper he's a hyper little one and he needs something to wear him out
Soccer is great because it teaches them a lot of like balance and coordination, especially if they're little. Peewee Baseball is also awesome because again, hand-eye coordination teaches them patience, teaches them how to play as a team in both scenarios. They're both very minimal contact and the equipment that they use keeps the kids pretty nice and safe.
For sure, thank you so much for your input. I agree. I think that both have great perks to them. And I never even thought about the patience thing. That's so good. Our four-year-old is very impulsive, so that would definitely help teaching him that.
We were just talking about this. I'm pretty sure with my daughter we're gonna do like dance or something or maybe soccer or softball and then my son He'll probably do either like football or soccer or something like that.
