So today I explained to my six-year-old how if we wanted to have a movie night and they're not so distant past, we would have to rent movies. They weren't on the TV. You would need to actually either own the DVD disc or way back when the BHS, but mostly the DVDs, or go to Blockbuster or rent them from the Red box and pay for it and then bring it home. So you'd be looking at the descriptions either on the red box or in blockbuster but they didn't they weren't just like on the TV and I think he looked at me like I'm a complete dinosaur. I know some of you are really young on this app but who remembers going to Blockbuster.
Yeah, I have good memories about Blockbuster. I remember when they first appeared in the neighborhood. And everybody cheered. Accessible movies for everyone. We made it a weekly thing, I think. think the whole family went and chose movies.
Fastest was a shit and they need to bring it back I miss blockbusters just going out to blockbusters was a day out that was an adventure for us when we were kids you know grants gonna hop in the car we're gonna pick a movie to watch in the evening like yeah so fun get the popcorn ready
Idea so I am only 18 so I do remember vaguely going there when I was little I have a couple times before they are closed but I don't have any like super strong memories of it
No going to Blockbuster was close was the closest you would get to even going to the movies like that's the feeling I would get because you would walk into Blockbuster and it always smell like popcorn and then they'll be snacks and then the movies are playing in there and then so many options and then also you can rent video games to so it was like going to a friends house and being able to leave with like a few things to come home and watch and play and you know you got to bring it back but then you can also take more when you bring it back
Yeah blockbuster was a vibe and I could see why they thought it wouldn't go out of business because of the nostalgia and feeling but feelings change and people definitely changed and arm are lazier I mean we're just we're just more convenient I wouldn't say lazy so streaming sites you know people have to leave their house for that and here we are
Yeah I think I did blockbusters bar And I think it was I give me this so much better because people have the ability to watch anything online or stream with that just so available it's not a big thing anymore let movie night can you speak any time
This is like etched in my memory as a corner memory like my daddy said take me to Blockbuster all the time and I just remember like exactly where the store was like I remember the vives what movies are used to like really like to go to it was just really fun I miss it
