Hey, what's up, y'all? It's Techie back here again for Black History Month. And this time I'm coming at y'all with one of my favorite quotes from Oprah Winfrey, The Goat, where she talks about forgiveness. And it wasn't until I actually heard this quote a long time ago that I fully understood how to forgive others and how to forgive myself. Right. So I'll start here. She says, forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different. Forgiveness doesn't mean accepting what has happened. It's accepting that it has happened to you. Not accepting that it was OK for it to happen. It is accepting that it was OK for it to happen. But what do you do about it? Forgiving is not giving up the hope, not holding on, hoping, wishing that it could have been any other way than it actually was. Giving up the hope that the rest could be any different. Happy Black History Month, everybody.
