So just a quick story time. My husband had recently just bought a brand new stainless steel stockpot for making soup for meal prepping. So he can just grab something from the fridge and go to work, make it easy on himself. Well he decided that he was going to season this stockpot and we live in an apartment and he He ended up catching the pot on fire and maybe I'm mistaken but I don't believe you're supposed to season stainless steel cookware. Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know. I'm not like a professional chef or anything but um so yeah he caught the pot on fire, he started yelling at me to open the back door. the mist, like the toddler kept getting in his way and like walking right in front of him. So I'm like trying to push her out of the way to get to the back door so she doesn't get burned. So I opened the back door and he puts the pot on our back deck and now we have a nice little burn mark from the pot that was on fire on our back porch.
