If I were to ask you what type of music you listen to and you were to say, I listen to everything, my response would be, no you don't. Before you get defensive, let me just calmly and logically prove to you why you are wrong. If you are correct that you listen to everything, that means that you were alive and cognizant when music was discovered, which was thousands of years ago at least. Over time music spread throughout the world and was played at concert venues and performance halls everywhere. So what you are saying when you say you listen to everything is that you were there at every music performance that has ever happened throughout history over all time, which is frankly and literally impossible. And keep in mind I'm only talking about music that has played for an audience. I haven't even talked about music people play in their garages when they're just messing around with their guitars or buckets. And let's talk about recorded music. Check out everynoise.com. everynoise.com summarizes all the music genres that have ever existed. I think on average people know about 10% of music genres that are real. I could show you dozens of musical genres you haven't even heard of. So when I answer what type of music I listen to, I answer specifically. I will say mainly disco and funk, although I do also listen to old school hip-hop, classic rock, indie jazz, punk rock, all that stuff. So yeah, my advice to you would be be more specific because when someone asks you that question, they're looking for a specific answer. Okay. All right.
