At what age should you be able to purchase and drink alcohol

So I'd suggest a German way because I'm from Germany for example alcohol like beer wine and then and you know like per second shit that's like 16 plus I can buy that stuff at the age of 16 and the rest 18 plus

I feel like the legal drinking age in American is 21 right now and I feel like that's fine in other countries is 16 but I feel like 21 is good
