Personally, I see self-talk being a short story we tell ourselves, because oftentimes, I know for myself, in the past, I have had negative self-talk towards myself, and these are like sequels to a story, you know? And I have to be very conscientious and careful.

I have to be very careful and conscientious in how I speak to myself because I am listening and when I give myself compassion and grace, I see it as I am changing my point of view on myself and focusing on the good parts of me as well.
