I'm trying to fit this into 30 seconds. I think that originality is like The ultimate goal that you have to work towards, you know, because you can have parts of yourself that are original, but you can never escape the influences that Helped you want to start helped you wanted to begin down the artistic pathway that you're going. So I think that The closer that you get to true mastery of whatever artistic expression you're trying to do You start to elevate past your influences
And, I think that AI should completely stay away from the artistic realm of the human experience. I think all of these videos of AI art and stuff like that, it feels a little evil, doesn't it? You know what I mean? It can look really cool and it's amazing how easily we can create things with AI and stuff, but part of the point of humanity is to seek originality, is to seek to elevate yourself beyond influences, you know? To further ourselves. And, I think that's really important. And, I think that's really important. And, I think that's really important.
All right, here goes. Paul, thanks for the messages. They were great. I've been meaning to get back to you. Okay, I agree completely. AI is evil. Fuck AI. It's soulless. We must stop it. Office space it. I really think that only comics jobs are more secure than the artist's job, because after all, the creativity is what the machines lack. Plus, they don't have emotions. And they have no sense of context or, you know.
I do admit to feeling a little threatened at first. I thought to myself. Oh, this is no good Everyone's fucking going to AI us artists are never gonna get a fucking gig but I see that AI is like It's like an artist who cuts corners doesn't draw hands and feet. Well doesn't really know What you want just gives it to you says here you go, but um The day that AI writes a funny joke, I will be worried Right. What do you think?
I think artistic originality can only come from living a unique life, that the art is informed by that unique life, and that art says stuff about life. You have to learn everything from everyone as much as you can, but you also have to be uniquely you, in my view.
Well, my question is is anything ever original? I mean you had to Be inspired by someone's art or something, right? Well, then again, you know, then you create your own thing from that inspiration. So yeah, it is original. Oh, yeah, I do Believe that yeah, there is such a thing as artistic originality
