Oh my gosh dude that's horrible. Like you got no closure. Wow. Would you ever consider getting back in contact with her and being like hey can you give me an explanation please?

In the past I've been very blunt and I broke up with a guy because I said to him I wasn't physically attracted to him and maybe a bit more details I should have left out and he was really clingy and I did that over the phone and I broke his heart. Sorry!

I may add that this was a long long time ago and I have matured and I am way more sympathetic than I used to be. I also had no idea I had ADHD at the time so that doesn't really help if you don't know you have it.
