Hi guys, I'm a huge reader and something I love to do is read two physical books, one nonfiction, one fiction, and also listen to an audible. What really got me into audible was Reese Witherspoon's book club, which is fantastic if you haven't started reading their books. But I was talking to my roommate today about audible and audiobooks in general, and she was saying that she doesn't count that as reading. Do you guys agree? I feel like that's wrong and ableist, like it's a different experience but it's for sure reading. There's some books that I would way rather listen to on Audible, like so many, for so many reasons. memoirs or books that are really heavy and I don't want to carry around. What do you think?
I definitely believe audiobooks count. Like, let's talk about people who can't even see. like like yeah audiobooks definitely matter and even for people who may even even have harder time.
Exactly exactly in like for me my brain processes are you books faster than like physical pages because when I read physical pages it feels like the words are moving off the page so that's why
Like it doesn't matter if you're reading a physical book are you a book whatever type of book you're reading you're still getting the information either way so it's like it doesn't matter
Honestly I just don't understand the whole argument it's to me it's dumb because reading is reading regardless if it's an audiobook or not like I I just don't understand
I think it counts but I don't think it's as mentally stimulating as reading an actual book because you can you can just listen to audiobooks and not read you can just be listening and you and it doesn't develop the same brain.
Be honest, I haven't read a physical book and maybe never. I actually don't think I ever did that in school. So yeah, we're going audio books on this one.
Brenda nobody agrees with you and I love that you're still standing up for your opinion yes girl audiobooks are fire I like physical better but audiobooks can be fire
Really good question, honestly. You know, I'm a commuter, so I drive quite far to get to work and Audio books have been perfect for that because I don't always have time to read But if I had to choose one, I would say, you know, the physical copy is always betteronline-miana-这一切都没利 but this can't be... how many trails are there? all ten all ten ten ten ten ten ten tbh m cosmetic we can do all of this but what do we need to care about that it's less than three 15 15 5 6 12 12 13 8
Sir I'm so sorry for objectifying you but you have a stunning accent I agree I like the physical copy better but for commuters I also commute audiobooks are amazing I can't read on the subway I got dizzy so yeah I'll take both
Definitely books audiobooks I feel like I will fall asleep to definitely I like and I don't like this book so I like to actually turn the paper on a physical book
I agree I like turning the people at the paper better as well but what about people that can't turn a paper or a people that can't read isn't doesn't account if it's an audiobook as long as you're engaged
