When I think of tanning, I think of large amounts of white people desiring to be dark. When I think of bleaching your skin, I think of large amounts of black people desiring to be light. What's going on here? Is being black desirable or not? Is being white desirable or not? Or is it only desirable by the opposite? Why do so many white people want to be dark and so many dark people want to be light? Where's this confusion really coming from?
the bleaching is so that we could feel equal to our counters you feel me if you understand what I'm saying but the tannin is so that they could feel like us they know melanin is
I'm actually half Asian and half white so in the winter I'll be more pale and in the summer I'll be more tan and I actually think this is the most stupidest question I've ever heard. You can have your little tantrum about my response but I'm just telling you the truth not everything is about race so I'm just saying.
That was definitely not about race, but let's just keep it real. When a pale person chooses to tan, what they are desiring is to become darker. Maybe not black, but for sure darker.
What you talking about, it's legit only the woman that does that, like woman no going put on their make-up, fake tan, all that bullshit and it's just to say that they've had a nice holiday or something to act like they go do things.
Over here if you're seen to be like nice looking and like look like you got a tan and go on heaps of fucking holidays and shit people are like oh you're cool must hang about with you something special about you or some shit
I actually think it was designed to make white men and women feel more comfortable at the beach. You know, having pale skin is not the most comfortable thing at a beach full of melanated people, I would think.
What you're telling me right there is you think it must be uncomfortable for us to be white on the beach? Wow, you really need to think about yourself.
I don't think I'm being racist man just from an African perspective. Pell is associated with sickness and so from my point of view I wouldn't want to look sick on the beach. No disrespect intended.
What? That is racist. That is completely racist. That's like me saying that you're like a chimpanzee. I don't want to be on a beach with a chimpanzee. I don't think anybody else wants to be on a beach with a chimpanzee. Get a grip of yourself.
Is it not a fact that people tend to move away from their paleness so that they can acquire a darker complexion? Am I not speaking facts? I think you just-
Is it not a fact that people tend to move away from their paleness so that they can acquire a darker complexion? Am I not speaking facts? I think you just-
What, just because some people like to go and get a tan, because they like to get a little bit darker, means that every white person that goes to a beach feels uncomfortable because they're white.
And then you said that's a normal thing in Africa for black people to go pale because they're ill. I don't think I've ever seen a black person go pale.
From my point of view, which I could be wrong, the reason why non-melanated people tan is to move away from paleness because it's associated with sickness that could be different for you.
I can't speak for black people, but for lighter skin colours, having a tan used to mean that you did man your labour outside, so you were probably poor and that's always been bad, but I think now it's kind of reversed where if you have a tan it means you can afford to go on holiday and sunbathe and spend time not working in the sun, which is...
