Most people would probably say the chicken but the actual answer is the egg and it's because the egg has always kept its name over the years chickens haven't they have been named other things over the years OK so like for example chickens evolved from dinosaurs therefore back in that time. The egg of the dinosaur has always been called the egg but the dinosaur itself has been called something else
