My take is probably 13 because you know it's not too late, like it's like just at the end of the child didn't start their teens but I would definitely restrict the likes of TikTok and and Twitter for them.
I feel like a child should have a phone for safety purposes more than anything else honestly so I would say young as long as possible just so that they know if they ever need anything to call their family
I would say 8, but only for video games. Limited, like my son. He can't download anything or go on anything without me putting a password in, even searching something. My daughters are 11 and 12 and they have a phone with minutes on it and all that because they're getting to that age where I want to know where they are and who they're with and they can call me if they need help.
I believe as soon as they start middle school, that way they can get started using this kind of technology. I would limit it to an extreme degree, so they only do certain things, but you don't want to start them too late, is by then everybody else will have one and they'll be behind.
I feel like between the ages of 12 and 14 would be the best time for a kid to get a phone. Like you know that middle school, high school, going into high school age range. Because you know as they get older they're making more friends, they're getting into more activities and they're going to need that phone for communication and safety purposes.
I think when they go to secondary school so age 11 because that's when I get in the fandom I love kids will then start walk to school by themselves and just be a grown-up
