Yeah, the first time I had Del Taco pulling into the place, I was like, why the fuck do they serve crinkle cut cafeteria style fries with their tacos? That makes no sense. And then I tried it and there was no going back. And I always get the number one, which comes with tacos and fries. Here's another Del Taco story. One time during the pandemic, I had taken a break from my job and I had come back. So I was sort of like out of it. I wasn't making great decisions that day and I went to my lunch and since it was the pandemic At that point you couldn't like go into fast food restaurants. It was just drive-thru So I go to the drive-thru and I come out and I'm like, where's my fucking fries? I look in my bag. I just see taco so I go knock on the door because you can't go in and the lady comes And I've got my bag in my like fast food receipt. I'm holding them up to prove that I'm a customer and she's like, yes And I'm like I didn't get my fries and she's like we don't serve fries And I was like what do you mean? And she's like this is a Taco Bell ma'am and there was literally a del taco right across the street and I had gone to the wrong place and I was pissed because my order at Taco Bell Includes a chips and cheese nachos But I didn't get that because I thought I was at del taco and I didn't have time to wait in line again And so then I went back to work and I dumped an entire dolly stacked with cases of wine a long story short I don't work at Trader Joe's anymore
You know, I've never been to a Del Taco, but they're building Del Tacos in my state now, apparently. And now I gotta go once it's done because I want to get crinkle fries.
You know, as a person that was raised on Taco Bell, because they don't have Del Taco in Northern California. They might have it now, but I was raised in Northern California and they didn't when I was a kid. So I only had it once I moved to Southern California. as someone raised.
Damn it, I forget these are only 15 seconds long. As someone raised on Taco Bell, Del Taco somehow tastes like a healthier taco. It's still fast food, but it somehow tastes like fresher.
The first time I had Del Taco was when I moved to LA because they didn't have it in my hometown. And I was repulsed, and so I got it again. And then I was repulsed again, so fool me twice. It's not going to be a third time.
