So I know zoos, especially in the last couple of decades, have been a very, very, very strongly opinionated place. And a lot of people do not believe in them, and others do. So I'm just curious, do you support zoos, or no, it's not your thing, or you've never even been to one? Because, for example, like the San Diego Zoo, I've heard so many wonderful things about it. People have said time and time again how awesome the animals are well taken care of. And then there's other zoos which are, you know, a very sad place for animals because they're in a confined space, and they're not comfortable, and it just like seems like it's for entertainment purposes. It's not really like people are genuinely caring about the animals. So I have heard both sides of the argument. And I've only been to a zoo where animals were in really, really, really good hands. So just based off that one zoo that I went to, yes, I support that type of zoo, but I wouldn't support all types of zoos if they were not like that one that I've been to, if that makes sense. But yeah, I want to hear your opinion about this.
Yeah, definitely. I grew up going to good zoos like the San Diego Zoo, which is a really great, humane zoo. And so, I don't know, I've always really enjoyed the experience of going to zoos and learning about the animals. And, yeah.
I love how you use the phrase humane zoo because that is exactly what I was referring to in this post and that is a good experience always as well as what you just said about learning about them. So good point.
Here's the only time I fuck with zoos, when or if they participate in practices like rescuing animals that need healing or they're helping to maintain an endangered species, making sure they don't go extinct, you know? Those are my only, like, that's how I feel like they're ethically alright. In other cases, not.
Everything you just said. I mean I did went to a couple of zoos growing up and it was the only time I ever saw wild animals in flesh so it was pretty cool I admit but I feel like as you grow up you realize that animals have feelings just like us and trapped in a cage 24-7 isn't really the ideal type of living so hologram zoos should be a thing. That's what I think.
Actually, it depends on every breed of animals. I think zoo isn't good choice for social animals or big animals and I would like to see these animals in protected area instead of zoo.
